Located at one of the most popular destinations in Dubai, Pier 7, Dubai Marina, the brunch at Fümé was a celebration of good food and the pleasure of unlimited beverages and of course, a lively atmosphere. We went to try their recently launched brunch and it was enjoyable and the food was delicious.
Fumé’s has very retro styled interiors and quirky industrial elements. The unfinished style of the ceiling and the empty paint cans on the tables and the colourful old wooden chairs add a charm and unpretentiousness to the place.
The brunch offered a great spread in every course. We started with a selection of appetisers, which included Buttermilk fried chicken, calamari with sweet chili sauce, a bowl of edamame, my favourite, the feta and watermelon salad roasted almond flakes. We finished every bit of food. For our next course we all shared some yummy sourdough sandwiches with Halloumi, Olive tapenade and sundried tomato, the other sandwich was filled with cold smoke salmon and cream cheese.
The main course was the winner of the whole meal. We enjoyed sizzling lamb chops that were grilled to perfection, as well as Mini Angus Beef Burger with caramelized onions. The side dishes were deliciously baked Mac and cheese and a Pappardelle pasta with meat balls and parmigiana cheese.
The brunch at Fume is very family friendly, you will literally see kids everywhere, unless you decide to brunch in the smoking area by the bar, which might give you a little space from the children. Luckily we had a little baby with us, so he fit right in. The staff were lovely about helping with the stroller. There was even a dedicated changing table, which is something I never would have noticed about a place had it not been for my nephew, so kudos to Fümé for thinking about the little ones. Speaking of children, their brunch is priced at Dh30 per child.
If you are on the look-out for a relaxed family spot to spend a lovely Friday afternoon with great food and classic jazz tunes (which honestly you might not be able to hear over the loud children). Luckily they have a play area.
