Tourism Thailand will be bringing Michelin-worthy flavours to Dubai, in partnership with Steigenberger Hotel Business Bay.

With Chef Anan at the helm, The Backyard at Steigenberger is hosting an exclusive Thai Street Food Festival during Dubai Food Festival, on three consecutive Saturdays - 24th February, 3rd and 10th March.

There will be live cooking stations serving Bangkok’s street food, along with special beverages, and a one-hour cooking class by the Chef himself.

Along with all things Thai, the event will include express Thai massage corners, Thai music and Karaoke as well.

About the Chef:

Born and raised in Thailand, Chef Anan Tumya began his culinary journey with food art and sculpting, and continued his journey adding insanely delicious flavours to his art. Being daring with the taste is Anan’s biggest strength, and on many occasions diners have been overheard saying that they have never come across such unique combinations anywhere in Thailand.

Starting his career in Thailand in 2003, Anan’s skills and quietly vivacious personality took him overseas to Malaysia, China, Goa, India, Muscat, The Maldives and finally Dubai.

One of his numerous recent achievements has been the opening of Wise Kwai Restaurant in Dubai. Within just a few months, he brought it to the coveted Number #1 spot on TripAdvisor for best Thai restaurant in Dubai, beating 9,101 others.

Win:

Lastly, Tourism Authority of Thailand and Thai Airways have teamed up with the Thai Street Food Festival to announce a ‘Win A Trip To Thailand’ contest that includes a direct Dubai-Bangkok return flight for two as well as five- nights hotel accommodation inclusive of breakfast.
