Dine: Chef Heinz Beck is at Social
Our favourite Three Michelin Starred chef returns to the Waldorf Astoria Palm Jumeirah to create a seven-course set menu of the most unique and unusual dishes, for three days only! Chef Beck is a pro at creating light and well-balanced masterpieces (it isn’t just food with him, it’s actually art). We experienced this beautifully put together set menu, which consisted of three amazing raw starters, my favourite being the amberjack tartare with watermelon granite, two Intermezzi dishes, made up of basil tortellini in a tomato salad sauce, with freeze dried mozzarella on top and a fantastic black cod cooked in a Borlotti bean sauce.
For our main course we enjoyed the most delicious lamb in a spicy crust surrounded by a flavourful eggplant puree. The meal ended with a stunning work of art made up of coconut cream, banana and lime. Experiencing Social by Heinz Beck is a definite must try if you live in, or are visiting Dubai. This special gem on the Palm Jumeirah will change your perception about Italian food.

Unique Experience: Dinner at the Opera
Dubai’s hottest new restaurant, Sean Connolly at Dubai Opera, is the place to dine right now. The amazing steak and seafood restaurant is located on the top floor of the iconic Dubai Opera. This unique concept gives you four main dining areas to choose from; the Raw Bar, the Fire Bar, the central Pearl Bar and the outdoor rooftop terrace, which of course has fantastic views of Burj Khalifa.
The food is uncomplicated and focused on the quality and allowing the ingredients to shine. You could try a classic pizza from the wood fire oven, signature steaks from the grill or fresh oysters from the raw bar. Since we are at the Opera, there will of course be an emphasis on Music. He selected a nostalgic soundtrack that is heavily influenced by his youth. Expect an acoustic journey of funk, blues and disco that injects an unmistakable energy in to every dining experience.

Party: Gentleman’s Evening at Grapeskin
This restaurant celebrates the men instead of just the ladies. Every Tuesday, starting from this week onwards, gents will have an option to enjoy an evening of beverages, bites and banter at Grapeskin, Dubai’s finest grape bar and kitchen in the heart of the city.
