Art: Sign up for Art Jameel Commissions
Art Jameel, a not-for-profit organisation that supports arts, education and heritage in the Middle East, announced, that they are launching a multi-year commission’s programme. If you are an artist from or based in the Middle East, make sure you sign up for this initiative! For the inaugural edition, artists are invited to create pieces to the concept and form of light, and also in a way that is complementary to the building and environment of the Jameel Arts Centre in Dubai. Make sure you submit your applications by November 21, 2017 before 11.59pm UAE time. The winning artist will receive a production budget of $70,000, as well as support from a network of architectural, engineering and technical experts.

Art: NYU Abu Dhabi Art Gallery’s new exhibition
The NYU Abu Dhabi Art Gallery’s latest exhibition is called ‘Inventing Downtown: Artist-Run Galleries in New York City, 1952–1965’, and is now open to the public. The exhibition brings to Abu Dhabi a major collection of historical artworks, and was organized by the Grey Art Gallery, New York University’s fine art museum in New York City.
Exhibition is all about the exploration of artistic community through the lens of New York of the 1950s and 60s, when the artists of "Downtown" Manhattan paved the way for New York City’s rise as a cultural capital. This is a rare opportunity to see some of the earliest breakthrough works of these artists,

Nepal is a tourist-friendly nation and issues multiple-entry visas on arrival to almost all nationalities. However, Indians do not require a visa to enter Nepal at any point.
Tourists can get a 15-day, 30-day or 90-day multiple-entry visa and if you plan to make a spontaneous trip to India and back, you can get your Indian visa sorted from Nepal as well. Going to China, however, has stricter formalities and prior planning is essential.
