The Kuwait Business Council in Dubai and the Northern Emirates (KuwaitBC) and Dubai SME, the agency of the Department of Economic Development in Dubai are partnering for the #CelebrateKuwait festival, which takes place tomorrow and day after at Rise Dubai Creek Harbour. The festival will be held in partnership with Emaar Properties and Gastronomica- Slider Station, one of the leading restaurant chains in the GCC.

Luma Jasim Bourisly, KuwaitBC’s Board Member and Chairwoman of the organising committee, says, “We welcome visitors who want to enjoy the performances of the Kuwaiti talents, arts and food, and we promise them a unique cultural experience that will remain in the memories of all family members from different nationalities.

“We are pleased to have Dubai SME at the #CelebrateKuwait festival as a strategic partner as this provides an opportunity to learn about the talents and ingenuity of our fellow Emirati entrepreneurs. This partnership comes as part of the MoU signed between the KuwaitBC and Dubai SME last December, with the aim of promoting cooperation between entrepreneurs and organising joint events to empower entrepreneurial youth in the two countries.”

Saeed Matar Al Marri, Deputy CEO of Dubai SME, says, “Dubai SME is pleased to be partners with KuwaitBC as we seek to bring the entrepreneurial and business community across the region together. Such partnerships provide valuable opportunities for sharing ideas, developing entrepreneurial initiatives and promoting an entrepreneurial culture across the region.”

Festival audiences are in for a treat with various activities on the menu including sporting events featuring interactive martial arts and group exercises offered by UFC gym champions, as well as live football demonstrations with the participation of coaches from The Goal Academy.

In addition, popular Kuwaiti artist Daffy and his band, known for their efforts at fusing Khaleeji lyrics with western music, will be in the house. There will also be an interactive karaoke performance held in collaboration with the Kuwaiti app Ghinwa team.

The festival also includes several exciting activities for children, such as face painting, an innovative craft workshop, as well as a family photography corner and more.

#CelebrateKuwait also offers Kuwaiti quizzes, a Kuwaiti-Emirati market and draws on airline tickets by Jazeera Airways, Kuwait’s leading low cost airline and the Official Airline Carrier for the festival. Ghalia, a Kuwaiti digital marketing agency is also supporting the event through a social media campaign.

Kuwait Business Council was established in May 2016 as an independent non-profit organisation under the umbrella of Dubai Chamber. The Council aims to promote experiences, opportunities, and relationships for business professionals and Kuwaiti companies operating in Dubai and the Northern Emirates (Sharjah, Ajman, Umm Al Quwain, Ras Al Khaimah, and Fujairah).
