Dubai:: Marking World Migratory Bird Day 2014, the Environment Department of Dubai Municipality will hold a seminar on Monday under the theme ‘Destination Flyways: Migratory Birds and Tourism’ in the conference hall of the Falcon Heritage Centre in Nad Al Sheba.
A photography exhibition will be held this coming Thursday at Abu Hail Dubai Municipality Centre.
World Migratory Bird Day (WMBD) was initiated in 2006 and is an annual awareness-raising campaign highlighting the need for the protection of migratory birds and their habitats. On the second weekend of each May, people around the world take action and organise public events such as bird festivals, education programmes and bird-watching excursions to celebrate WMBD.
