Dubai: Emirates Post is getting in on the Dubai International Film Festival’s 10th anniversary celebrations this year by issuing a set of four stamps later this month. The stamps symbolize cinema from around the world, as global cinema has been celebrated at the festival since its inception. The festival runs from December 6-14.
“The Dubai International Film Festival has played a key role in promoting Dubai as a modern cosmopolitan city with strong attachment to culture and heritage. In ten years, it has grown into a major international event, comparable to some of the biggest such events worldwide,” said Ebrahim Bin Karam, chief commercial officer, Emirates Post Group. “We are pleased to salute this great event with the release of these special stamps that will help strengthen further Dubai’s image as a great city.”
Abdulhamid Juma, Chairman of the Dubai International Film Festival, said: “For Emirates Post to mark 10 years of DIFF is wonderful recognition for all the Festival has achieved and a great opportunity for us to thank the government and our sponsors for their unwavering support since we launched back in 2004. We look forward to celebrating our 10th year with an incredible and diverse line-up of screenings and events across Dubai and urge as many people as possible to come out and enjoy all DIFF has to offer.”
