Abu Dhabi: etisalat has allowed its Wasel subscribers to transfer credit from their mobile accounts to any Wasel customers.
Without extra cost, etisalat's customers can dial *100*050xxxxxxx*amount# to transfer the amount to their friend's accounts. A confirmation SMS will be sent to the donor account with the credit transfer information. The receiving customer will also get a short message about receiving credit.
etisalat said yesterday in a statement that its users can now transfer credit to whoever they want at a minimum of Dh5 and a maximum of accumulated Dh100 per day. The maximum amount that can be transferred per user is Dh1000 per month.
Optimum convenience
Eisa Al Haddad, etisalat's chief marketing officer, said that the aim of this service is to provide optimum convenience and simplicity for a larger number of customers by enabling them to top up their accounts with variable amounts of credit anytime and anywhere.
He added that etisalat is planning to launch new value added services this year to ensure that its customers will get the latest advanced value of their paid money.
"We are continuously striving for more new services that would meet our customers' requirements and offer them relief and additional value in their daily life," said Al Hadad.
du's new subscribers will not be allowed to benefit from the new service or transfer credits to Wasel customers using their 055 prefix numbers.
etisalat's new service will be valid in the UAE only.
