Dubai: Line Plus Corp is opening its Middle East and North Africa headquarters in Dubai early next year at Dubai Media City, a top official said.

“If there is a need for more offices, we will be looking at other markets also. Right now, our focus is on Dubai office,” said Elina Eun, senior business development manager at Line Plus Corp.

The Japanese company sees the UAE, Saudi Arabia and Egypt as major markets within the region.

“Our strategy is to make strong footprint first rather than making money by providing localised content and unique services matched to the conditions in each country,” she said.

“We see the potential and growth opportunities in this region. We are looking at partnering with big brands in the region next year which users love and be able to offer access through our app. It is a big success in Korea and I hope it will be a success here also,” she said.

Line has already tied up with Hellofood and Easy Taxi in the UAE.
