Dubai: Jumbo Electronics, the exclusive distributer for Sony Middle East and Africa (SOMEA), recently announced the ever highest sales of Sony products in a single month in the region at an impressive 36 per cent growth. The growth rate is considered to be the highest in the region due to increase in sales for the TV and camera categories, both of which recorded highest ever in a single month, showing a remarkable 35 per cent and 100 per cent increase respectively.

Rakesh Khanna, Head of Sony division, Jumbo Electronic said: “January has been a superb month for us. We made highest sale of Sony CE products in thehistory of Jumbo in UAE. It’s been a buoyant market with a good inflow of tourists due to the Dubai Shopping Festival. The season marks a new trend of customers preferring large TV formats while SLR cameras have also gained traction.”
