Dubai: Jabra, well known for its Bluetooth headsets, is incorporating new features into every device it launches in the market.

This time, it is the Stealth mono Bluetooth headset. The first thing to notice is that it is very thin and light with a beautiful candy bar design and superior sound quality. It weighs just eight grams.

The new micro power battery technology incorporated into this device gives longer battery life.

It is so light that you won’t feel that you are wearing one and it sits comfortable into your ear.

The slim body has black soft coating on the inside and grey silver coating on the outside.

The package includes six eargels in different sizes and two ear hooks for added stability and this is needed if you are fond of jogging.

The controls are easy to use as it has a small power on/off on the inside of the device along with a covered micro USB charging port.

The other button on the side launches voice command on your mobile device to access Siri and Google Now. It works very well and you don’t need to touch the mobile devices to access it. You can just give voice commands to dial a number. The mic picks up voice commands easily and gives the queries correctly.

The multi-function button to access calls and for pairing is hidden on the top end of the device. By touching the top end can receive calls, redial last call, music streaming and reject calls.

The device has built-in NFC and Bluetooth 4.0 connectivity. It pairs with NFC devices very fast and with Bluetooth; it can pair up to eight different devices and stay connected to two devices simultaneously.

The headset automatically pairs with previously connected devices with ease and the Bluetooth range is good for close to 35 feet and after that the connection drops.

It comes with voice guided assistance by alerting you of the connection and disconnection with your phone. It tells you of the incoming calls with caller ID and the remaining batter life of the headset.

The HD voice quality, both incoming and outgoing, are crystal clear with no distortions due to the Noise Blackout technology deployed on this device but the volume is low. It also has dual mic technology for noise canceling and reduces background noise.

The device does not have volume controls, may be due to its size, and the adjustments have to be done on the mobile devices.

The built-in rechargeable battery gives around six hours of talk time, which is pretty decent compared to the size. The standby time is around 10 days or 240 hours. The device takes two hours to charge the battery to full.

The Jabra Assist software found in Apple and Google app stores has the ability to find the Stealth using GPS when lost. It shows the last place of pairing. The app also shows the remaining battery life of the device. It is priced at Dh329.
