Dubai: Google's latest doodle will appear across the Arab countries today — the 707th birthday of the legendary Moroccan explorer Ibn Battuta.
The doodle depicts Ibn Battuta's 70,000 mile journey and the many different monuments he visited.
The witty interactive doodle conceals 16 different monuments for the viewer to discover.
The search engine giant is praised for its exceptionally creative doodles, which are based on the logo of the company.
On many days and occasions, the logo of the global internet provider changes to commemorate holidays, anniversaries and lives of celebrities all over the world.
They range from Halloween celebrations in the US, to the anniversary of the birth of Mahatma Gandhi, the leader of India's freedom struggle, or the birthday anniversary of physicist Albert Einstein, and celebrating the late famous Iraqi poet Nazik Al Malaika, or the late Egyptian singer Abdul Halim Hafez.
