What’s special about it?
On the face of it, the AudiOffice looks like a retro phone designed like its made to stand along with the latest Apple products. It is. You can answer or make calls using the headset when your phone is docked into a dedicated slot. But despite its clean and minimalist design, the AudiOffice is much more than that. Targeted at small businesses or home-office types with a focus on internet telephony, the dock is tuned for FaceTime and Skype use, two services still not allowed in the UAE. But that’s not to say it’s of no use at all.
For starters, the AudiOffice is a great speaker dock which can be used for conference calls. Early reviewers have praised its ability to pick up and deliver sound. To make or receive a call, just push the dedicated call button and the speaker phone is on. For a little privacy, pick up the headset. There are options to set up both iPhones and iPads but because it is Bluetooth compatible, it means you can basically hook up any smartphone that has Bluetooth – and also stream your music wirelessly.
When not using it for calls, the AudiOffice can also turn into a nice speaker. There’s also a helpful free Invoxia app that helps you pull your contacts together and arrange you music for you.
But of course, just using this nicely designed piece of tech for music will be doing it injustice.
