Etisalat announces complete restoration of UAE internet links
Etisalat announced the complete restoration of the UAE Internet links after receiving confirmation from its international service providers, Flag and Sea-ME-We4, that repairs to their damaged cables are complete.
Abu Dhabi: Etisalat on Monday announced the complete restoration of the UAE Internet links with normal internet traffic commencing after receiving confirmation from it's international service providers, Flag and Sea-ME-We4, that repairs to their damaged cables had been completed.
Etisalat was successful in prioritising Internet traffic and essential customer service during the period of disruption ensuring that they continued to operate with minimal or no impact.
Etisalat's business customers reported negligible disruption in their operations due to the cable disruption. In addition to this, the majority of EMIX (Emirates Internet exchange) customers who were surveyed by Etisalat also confirmed that they were unaffected by the disruption.
