Dubai: Dubai Studio City (DSC), a member of Tecom Investments, has launched www.DSCMarket.com, a new trading site aiming to revolutionise the way business is done in Dubai.
Connecting people to places, sellers to buyers and companies to individuals, this business matchmaking site serves as a virtual souq, enabling industry professionals to carry out their business transactions online.
Dr Ameenah Al Rostamani, executive director of media, Tecom Investments, said, "DSCMarket.com refl-ects Dubai's vision to evolve as a global marketplace in the virtual world as well. As online business transactions gather momentum, Dubai, which already hosts one of the world's largest free trade zones for IT enterprises, offers enormous potential for this sector."
Jamal Al Sharif, director of DSC said that this latest initiative is part of DSC's effort to boost the growth of the film industry in the region. "With the DSC market, suppliers and buyers now have a virtual venue to conduct their transactions that not only caters to the goods and service requirements of local film production firms but also that of global entities operating worldwide."
