Dubai: CNBC Arabia has signed up with Youtoo Technologies ME, a regional joint venture of the US-based interactive TV major, to offer multiple interactive services for its audience.

The broadcaster expects to launch a number of knowledge-based interactive services and game-shows in the months ahead to dynamically engage with its audience.

“With the launch of this game, we have given our viewers a new tool to interact with us dynamically. As a broadcaster, the response from our viewers, while choosing the options in the games, gives us a direct reference to how our audience is responding or reacting to a developing story,” said Nabeel Hood, head of sales and marketing at CNBC Arabia.

The show empowers viewers to give their opinions and choose from various options on the selected news items, and win points. This is a new way of giving back to a loyal audience.

Amer Farid, managing director of Youtoo Technologies Middle East, said that with the introduction of the new service, CNBC Arabia is heralding a new approach to news and information broadcasting in the region.

“Our TV game platform is the next generation of premium SMS TV games. Rather than just texting in answers, viewers can win real cash and prizes using a mobile app and website. This enables a whole new level of interaction and social games which we expect to excite viewers and revive the pay-to-play at home TV format globally,” he said.
