Dubai: Anfei Electronics and Technology Group, headquartered in Shanghai, has launched the world’s biggest 218-inch Full HD high-quality LED display with 10-bit video processing capacity.

“It is the biggest home use LED TV. We can make as big as a customer wants. The back of the TV is connected by different panels. The size of each panel is 40x40cm,” Fiona, sales rep and interpreter at Anfei Electronics and Technology Group, told Gulf News.

She said the best distance to watch this giant TV is more than seven metres. It will be clearer and brighter as a normal TV when viewed from a distance and it is good for villas.

The WiFi Anfleds TV has a resolution of 1920 x 1120 pixels with brightness at 1,200 nits (a unit of illuminative brightness equal to one candle per square metre) and 281 million colours. It weighs 636 kilos.

It has eight HDMI ports, two VGA and USB ports and one S-Video interface. The height of the TV is 2.8 metres.

Fiona said the price is not yet fixed for the Middle East market but in the US, it is priced at $300,000.

“This is our first time at Gitex, we are getting many enquiries from customers, especially from the nationals. We have got a very positive feedback so far from the visitors and even one customer gave me his credit card and he wanted to buy it,” she said.

She said that she is very optimistic that this product will be a hit in this market.

The company sells 1,000 units annually in the US.
