Abu Dhabi: The Critical National Infrastructure Authority (CNIA) has signed two agreements totalling Dh767 million with Advanced Integrated Systems PLC.

According to the first agreement, Advanced Integrated Systems will provide experts to train and qualify CNIA's special weapons and tactics (Swat) teams.

They will use the latest techniques for the protection and security of facilities.

The two agreements were signed at Idex 2009 in Abu Dhabi.

Director General of CNIA Brigadier Engineer Muhair Ali Al Khateri said the agreement would achieve the goals of training UAE national human resources.

It would also provide them with the necessary skills to carry out their duties of protecting the security and safety of critical facilities.

According to the second agreement, Advanced Integrated Systems will provide CNIA with controllers and operators of control and telecom systems, said Al Khateri.

The agreement provides for the recruitment, training, and qualifying of CNIA's national human resources at command and control centres.

The duration of the contract is five years during which Advanced Integrated Systems will commit itself to the articles of the contract to ensure the training and qualification of UAE human resources therefore contributing to the protection of the nation's prosperity and to the development of national human resources.

CEO of Advanced Integrated Systems Khlafan Al Shamsi expressed happiness over the signing of the two agreements with CNIA.
