Dubai: Attitude Enterprises hopes its 3D interactive kinetic projection mapping system (IKMS) will be the next step in marketing.

The technology, considered the next step in projection mapping, is the first technology that allows mapping on a moving object through an application that makes it more interactive.

In other words, it creates moving, 3D holographic-like sculpture that works with its background scenery.

“What happens when the object starts to move? You need special software to communicate with the model and the projector and it maps it accordingly,” Ali Okhovat, managing partner, Attitude Enterprises, told Gulf News.

It works on any smartphone or tablet running on different operating systems.

With the app, for example, users can select different colours on the car, the inner workings of an engine, and the interior of a cars.

The technology will be used primarily on property and cars, which are big investments for most buyers, Okhovat said.

He said these are the investments many people are very cautious about. They want to feel the product and know more about it.

Perfect tool

“IKMS is the ideal solution for the booming Middle East — it’s the perfect tool for showcasing numerous projects that are growing here, from exciting new buildings to the thriving automotive industry’s latest models. The fully interactive and, quite frankly, beautiful presentations are absolutely breathtaking, and ensure a knock-out response from any gathered crowds,” Okhovat said.

The cost depends on how much software integration is involved. Prices range from $90,000 to $150,000 (Dh330,300 to Dh550,500).

“With this new technology we can show what is under the hood which was not possible before. I am excited about the new technology. It can steal consumers’ attention. We can showcase a demo without having the physical car at the launch,” said Nadim Ghrayeb, brand manager — Cadillac and GMC at GM Middle East Operations.

It is difficult to say whether we will be “implementing this technology now, but definitely it will be considered in the near future,” Ghrayeb said.

“We designed IKMS to be a completely flexible tool, which is invaluable across all industries for demonstrations, presentations, tutorials and displays, seminars, workshops — the applications are limitless,” Arek Rekita, Technical Director, White Kanga, said in a statement.
