Dubai: Sony Mobile launched its flagship smartphone — XZ Premium — in Dubai on Monday. It is the world’s first 4K HDR (High Dynamic Range) display with a 5.5-inch screen and running on latest Qualcomm 835 chip with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage capacity. Storage can be expanded up to 256GB via microSD. It is the first phone to have the latest Qualcomm chip set apart from Samsung S8 devices to support 1Gbps LTE download speed by tweaking the network, also known as carrier aggregation.

It combines different spectrum transmission bandwidths and is one of several features in LTE Advanced that lets mobile operators bond together disparate spectrum bands to add capacity and provide faster data rates in their networks.

The device has a new 19MP rear and 13MP front cameras. It will be available soon in the Middle East.
