Dubai: Beginning October 10, Apple’s new iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus will hit the shelves in the UAE, the company announced on Monday.
The new phones will be sold in the UAE for prices ranging between Dh2,599 and Dh3,799, depending on the storage size.
In a statement sent to Gulf News, the tech giant said the latest phone models will also be available on the same day in Bahrain, Jordan, Kuwait, Qatar and Saudi Arabia.
Apple fans can have the latest phones in either gold, silver, space grey or rose gold metallic finish. The suggested retail price for iPhone 6s in UAE will be Dh2,599 for the 16GB model, Dh2,999 for the 64GB model and Dh3,399 for the 128GB model.
iPhone 6s Plus will be retailing at Dh2,999 for the 16GB model, Dh3,399 for the 64GB model and Dh3,799 for the 128GB model.
Just days after the launch of its latest products, Apple managed to sell more than 13 million of the new iPhone models, a new record for the company.
“Sales for iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus have been phenomenal, blowing past any previous first weekend sales results in Apple’s history,” said Tim Cook, Apple’s CEO.
Beginning October 9, the new phones will also be distributed in more than 30 other countries, including Andorra, Austria, Belgium, Bosnia, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Greece, Greenland, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Isle of Man, Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Maldives, Mexico, Monaco, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Russia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland and Taiwan.
On October 16, iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus will be available in India, Malaysia and Turkey, and in over 130 countries by the end of 2015.
Cook said customer feedback on their latest products has been “incredible”. “And we can’t wait to bring iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus to customers in even more countries on October 9.”
