Huawei’s sub-brand Honor launched its premium product in the X series – 7x – with a bezel-less screen design in Dubai on Monday.

The 5.93-inch edge-to-edge with an 18:9 display is powered by home-grown 2.36GHz octa-core Kirin 659 processor with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage, which can also be expanded up to 128GB via microSD card.

The rear houses the dual-lens 16MP + 2MP camera with large aperture and fast focusing as fast as 0.18 seconds. The front sports an 8MP camera.

Chris Sun Baigong Vice-President of Honor in the Middle East and Africa said that the Honor 7x clearly demonstrates the company’s capability to offer young tech savvy consumers in the Middle East and Africa unprecedented technology at a value-added price while challenging the current market competitors.

“A smartphone that far exceeds their expectations with the best fullview display that caters to their ever-changing needs. Honor 7x offers a phone that inspires action and creativity at a surprisingly accessible price,” he said.

The phone is priced at Dh999.

The phone features a full metal unibody design, measuring 7.6mm in thickness and weighing 165 grams. The rear of the phone houses the fingerprint sensor and can be easily reached. The sensor is so fast and can unlock the device in less than two seconds.
