Dubai: Dubai Silicon Oasis Authority (DSOA) Vice Chairman and Chief Executive Mohammad Al Zarouni released its 2021 strategy on Wednesday to establish leading innovation centres and support entrepreneurship, a statement said.

DSOA is a Dubai government owned technology-focuses free zone.

The strategy focuses on four primary pillars, “a smart city, an advanced technology hub, innovating people and a desirable society.”

Al Zarouni said the four pillars will serve “as distinctive guiding principles” that aims to reinforce the emirate’s position as a global centre and destination.

The first pillar of DSOA’s 2021 strategy is to “develop a smart, integrated and connected city that optimizes its resources sustainably over the long-term, and ensures excellence across the built environment,” according to the statement.

The second pillar is to consolidate “its leading position as the preferred investment destination for foreign capital” for companies in the technology sector.

The third pillar is based on a strategy of increasing employees’ “innovation, experience and happiness” in the work place and to “ensure staff members remain confident about their future”.

The last pillar is focused on transparency and the security of individuals and companies at Dubai Silicon Oasis.

“DSOA will seek to create a transparent and secure environment that preserves the rights of individuals and institutions,” the statement said.
