Dubai: Obaid Humaid Al Tayer, Minister of State for Financial Affairs, has said that the Ministry of Finance has developed a number of leading e-systems to raise levels of effectiveness and efficiency of services, as part of its commitment to strengthen and support innovation, as well as benefit from IT applications. Highlighting key initiatives taken by the government in this field, Al Tayer said that the UAE is a leader in driving electronic and digital transformations, which was initiated with the launch of the e-government in 2000 followed by the launch of the smart government in 2013.
“The UAE’s wise leadership has set utmost importance on developing initiatives that strengthen IT and digital content fields due to its significant role in achieving success and progress for developing countries,” he said in a statement.
