Dubai: Cinemas in the UAE won’t just be serving up big-screen entertainment. Novo Cinemas plans to develop ‘seven-star chef’ services at its locations.

“Customer engagement and offering the highest level of service are very important ... they are key points of difference,” said Jaber Al Ansari, Managing Director. “We are constantly engaging with our patrons to truly understand their needs and respond to them, whether this relates to increased demand and focus on seven-star VIP, IMAX or F&B.

“We set out to bring patrons a ‘complete’ entertainment experience that starts from the moment you step into our venue.”

The current Novo expansion will see it go over the 200-screen mark by early next year. It currently operates 115 screens (22,000 seats), with recent additions being at the World Trade Centre Abu Dhabi and The Pearl-Qatar.

“We have already begun expansion across the Gulf,” said Al Ansari. “Following our flagship cinema in Qatar, at The Pearl, we have announced new locations at North Gate Mall and 01 Mall in Doha. We also expect to open our doors soon in Bahrain, at Seef Muharraq Mall, and have plans for other countries in the region.”
