Dubai: Dubai resident Jennifer Russ has been named as having the “Home of the Year” in a competition run by “InsideOut”, the interiors magazine, and Marina Home Interiors. Russ, who has her residence at the Lakes, won for being “unique, discerning and eclectic with great attention to detail”.

“What impressed everyone about Jennifer’s home is its cohesion and confident execution throughout, with a strong colour scheme, balanced use of furnishings, and fantastic finishing touches,” said Sharon Parsons, Editor of InsideOut. “Every aspect has been considered, right down to the curated collection of objects from around the world, which gives her home such personality and style. This is a home that exudes great taste, and is full of interest.”

The winner was revealed at an event on Monday evening. “There was a distinct and authentic representation of personality and diverse journey celebrated in Jennifer’s home,” said Sahar Vakil, Head of Brand Development at Marina Home.

“We were drawn in to the warmth created by use of natural elements juxtaposed to the dramatic highlights of black. However, her homes’ most unique characteristic is its innate ability to rouse storytelling in any corner, from the discreet wall art to the bold pieces of furniture.”
