Dubai: The Middle East’s first Collezione Automobili Lamborghini store opened at The Dubai Mall on Thursday, making it the world’s third [store] for the company. There are already two Collezione Automobili Lamborghini retail stores in Italy.
Saudi Arabia-based Abdulaziz Al Rasheed Trading is looking to open two other outlets in Abu Dhabi (Yas Mall and Marina Mall) and other countries in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) including Saudi Arabia, according to Housam Aslan, managing director and founder of Abdulaziz Al Rasheed Trading. He, however, declined to provide the size of the investments for the stores in the region.
“We started in Dubai because it’s the main destination for luxury shopping,” Aslan said.
The Dubai store, which is similar to the ones in Italy, sells a range of products, such as clothing, wallets, bags, caps, shoes and car models. The clothing is sold for around Dh500-700, while the Lamborghini car models are priced between Dh1,500 and Dh15,000, according to Aslan.
“Dubai is the most prestigious location. All of the Gulf area is important for our brand awareness,” said Boris Puddu, head of Collezione Automobili Lamborghini. Collezione Automobili Lamborghini is a division of Italian car manufacturer Automobili Lamborghini.
“The philosophy behind the Automobili Lamborghini fashion line is synonymous with the Italian brand and the traits of Lamborghini super sports cars — pure, cutting edge and visionary,” Abdulaziz Al Rasheed, CEO of Al Rasheed Group, said in a statement.
