Dubai: The Arabic language version of the popular auto magazine ‘Wheels’ will hit the stands this weekend. The magazine, with a cover price of Dh10, will have a print run of 13,000 copies a week.

The inaugural edition of ‘wheels Arabic’ features the Lamborghini Hurcan on the cover.

“It will be print-only initially, but a website and app will be added to the portfolio in the medium to long-term,” said Amit Benjamin, group motoring editor for the publications, which are part of the Al Nisr Media stable. “We felt that there a gap in the market as there are no quality weekly Arabic motoring magazines in the region.

“Wheels Arabic will also stand out from the competition thanks to its high editorial, photography and design values and its fun, accessible and witty tone.”

The English version of the weekly has been in print since 2005 and has picked up a sizable following along the way. Wheels also hosts the annual automotive awards.

Al Nisr Media (ANM) is part of the entity which also includes Al Nisr Publishing, the publisher of ‘Gulf News’. Some of the other magazines in the ANM portfolio are ‘Aquarius’, ‘Inside Out’ and ‘Friday’.
