Dubai:

While taking the help of Indian actors for their Diwali promotions, local jewellery retailers are raising the pitch with other add-ons.

Damas is offering five BMWs and five kilograms on raffle over a five-week period, while Malabar Gold and Diamonds is putting up 10 kilograms.

Pure Gold Jewellers’ offer is a ‘no making’ charge on a range of 22 karat jewellery. In addition, it has also launched a special line of ‘uncut’ Polki diamond collection.

“This year, the local jewellery trade has gone in for the biggest Diwali-specific promotion in five years,” said Shamlal Ahmad. “There will be a lot of buyers considering small-ticket purchases — they are more likely to head for retailers offering incentives such as raffles and gold draws and increase their chances of winning.”
