Karachi: Pakistan's benchmark stock index, the Karachi Stock Exchange 100 Index, fell 0.70 per cent at the close.
The index of 100 companies traded on the Karachi Stock Exchange fell 70.74 to 10,017.71.
Among the stocks in the index, 26 rose, 70 fell and four were unchanged.
Declines in the Karachi Stock Exchange 100 Index were led by Pakistan Petroleum, United Bank and Standard Chartered Bank Pakistan.
Most active
MCB Bank, which rose Rs1 to Rs228.80 (Dh9.83), was the most active stock by value.
The next most-active issues were National Bank of Pakistan, which rose to Rs101.10, and Oil & Gas Development Co, which fell to Rs123.56.
