Dubai: The city's formula of sun and shopping has always been attractive to adults from Europe and particularly the UK, but new promotions could make it a destination for children too.
The big promotion this year is Kids Go Free in Dubai (kidsgofreeindubai.com), which runs until September 30 and allows two children under 12 to stay and eat for free, when accompanied by two paying adults, at a range of hotels and apartments in Dubai and Abu Dhabi.

Many attractions are giving two children free admission, while they will also travel free on the metro and buses. There are also hotel deals with package tours including flights and hotel stays from the UK. British travel agents are not only marketing trips on the strength of shopping and sun. Dubai's docks are also being promoted as a look into the history of the emirate.
Meanwhile, it is not only Dubai that is being targetted, Fujairah is also getting in on the act, with five night deals at the Miramar Al Aqah resort in Fujairah clocking in at under £500 (Dh3,000) per person, including flights. Abu Dhabi is also getting involved. Premier is offering four nights' BB at Traders Hotel Qaryat Al Beri from £650 including flights and transfers, valid for travel until July 15.
