Dubai: General Shaikh Mohammad Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, yesterday lauded the success of the Dubai Airshow.
He said, after touring the Dubai Airshow 2011, "The Dubai Airshow has grown in terms of advancement and number of major world exhibitors, visitors or deals. This reflects the significance of the Dubai Airshow as a major exemplary launchpad for manufacturers to showcase their various products to the countries in the region and meet the market requirements."
Shaikh Mohammad added that the UAE is keen to enter into aviation industry and defence technology with dependence on qualified Emirati cadres to acquire the latest technology in this respect through effective partnerships between local and international companies.
"As we celebrate the 40th anniversary of our union, we are certainly sure that our endeavours for progress, prosperity and welfare are limitless," he said.
Shaikh Mohammad praised the efforts of the organising committee, wishing them more success in the next editions.
"They have proven Emiratis are efficient when it comes to managing and organising major events," he said.
