Manama: Aviation decision makers will discuss the future of the industry at the Doha Aviation Summit next month, officials in Qatar said.
The three-day summit, to be held on October 30, will be attended by over 200 representatives from global airports, leading airlines, civil aviation authorities, and government agencies and will be hosted by Qatar Civil Aviation Authority.
"The aviation world has changed significantly over the past few months. With the worst of economic crisis behind us, now is the perfect time to look to the future," Abdul Aziz Al Nuaimi, Qatar Civil Aviation Authority Chairman, said.
"The summit will continue the theme ‘vision for limitless skies' and will concentrate on opening up opportunities for growth between the Arab states and the international aviation market," he said in a statement.
The Doha Aviation Summit will also investigate the volcanic ash disruption and its impact on aviation organisations outside of Europe.
The formulation and implementation of a sustainable regulatory framework, the Middle East airport expansion projects are some of the topics to be discussed at the summit.
