Abu Dhabi: Abu Dhabi film festival is set to be a star-studded event. Already, a number of celebrities have confirmed their appearance.
The American actress Julianne Moore and legendary French actor and director Gérard Depardieu will both be there. Depardieu stars in Potiche, which is screening at the festival, opposite Catherine Deneuve.
Moore will feature in Conversation With Julianne Moore, just one element of a new programme, called Encounters, which invites the public to interact with celebrities.
This event takes place on October 18, while Uma Thurman will partake in similar event on October 22, Yosra and Yehia El Fakharany on October 15, Lebleba on Oct 17 and Abbas Kiarostami on October 19.
The Making of Wrecked, with actor Adrian Brody and director Michael Greenspan, a conversation about the making of the film, will also take place on Saturday October 16th.
Encounters is free to the public on a first-come, first-served basis and tickets must be picked up at box offices for the various venues before the events.
