The plot Tower Heist is an Ocean's Eleven-meets-Tropic Thunder comedy of disasters about Josh Kovacs (Stiller), a reliable and hardworking building manager in charge of one of the most luxurious towers in New York. Josh has been working there for over a decade, and under his watchful eye they have never faced a serious security problem, despite the resident in the deluxe penthouse atop the building being Wall Street mogul and multi-millionaire, Arthur Shaw (Alan Alda). Having recently been caught defrauding investors out of $2 billion (Dh7.3 billion) - and in a further betrayal, the staff of the tower who entrusted him out of their pensions - Shaw finds himself under house arrest in his luxury apartment and not required to pay a dime of it back. Helpless and furious, Josh and his fellow building staff employ petty crook, Slide (Murphy), to help them get their own back on Shaw; but with only a few days of Arthur's house arrest left in which to carry out their plan to get their cash back, this collection of doormen, maintenance staff and housekeepers have to turn into the type of criminal masterminds it will take to bring down one of New York's most powerful men. Expect the usual laughs and gross-out gags we've come to know and love from the mighty Ben Stiller.
