Wrecked's raw shooting style and eerily quiet scenes will leave you either loving director Michael Greenspan's minimalist approach to executing screenwriter Christopher Dodd's vision, or hating it's somewhat bulky scenes, something that is hard to achieve given that there is only one main actor, Adrien Brody, for most of the film.
The story's rhythm, while keeping mostly true to what people may experience in similar scenarios, felt somewhat hampered by the heaviness of the mood present in each scene as well as Brody's acting, which seems to swing from believable to exaggeration, depending on the situation he is facing.
However, Greenspan is to be commended for his efforts in taking risks with the style and approach of his debut feature film. It is sure to divide audiences wherever it is screened.
