Russell Crowe fancies "having a go" at a Bollywood movie. Yes, I had that look of incredulity on my face, too, when the Oscar-winning actor mentioned the prospect to me in all seriousness.

Crowe had been chatting to a couple of Indian financiers and revealed that he'd always wanted to make a film in India. "I don't mean a typical Hollywood film that happens to be set in India, but a Bollywood film," he told me.

"The script would have to be right, and I'd have to understand completely what I was doing. But I fancy having a go," Crowe declared.

"I can do my own singing and I can dance a little bit," he added.

I looked him in the eye to see if he was taking the mickey, and he looked right back and said he was sincere, but was willing to wait for a decent script.

"I'm in no hurry. If something comes my way, fine; if it doesn't, so be it," Crowe told me.
