Buddy’s coming with the cakes. Reality star and cake-trepreneur Buddy Valastro, best known for his show Cake Boss on TLC, will be whipping up a frenzy at a live show at the Emirates Palace in Abu Dhabi on August 9.
Valastro will hold a two-hour interactive event where he will regale fans with stories from his colourful Italian family and take part in a Q&A with the audience. The session will also feature live demonstrations of amazing cake design and artistry his cake empire has come to be known for, while an aspiring baker will win big prizes in a bake-off. Valastro, along with Emirates Palace pastry chef Alexander Haebe, will choose the winner.
Decorators from across the region can enter for free into the Cake Decorating Competition at thinkflash.ae before July 31 and bring their decorated cakes to the Emirates Palace on August 9.
Tickets for the cake boss’ event will go on sale from noon on July 7 on ticketmaster.ae and all Virgin Megastore outlets across the UAE. Tickets are priced Dh150 for adults and Dh75 for children. Children under two get in for free.
