Nancy on a high note

Currently, Lebanese singer Nancy Ajram is busy recording her new album, slated to be released at the beginning of summer. Ajram, who has already finished recording six of the 12 songs, also sang a duet with Lebanese singer Wael Kfoury.

Meanwhile Ajram confessed in a television interview that since she was a child, she worried about her future and finding stardom did not solve the problem. On the contrary, she is more stressed now.

Talking about her private life, she said "family is sacred for me", noting that her family is very close her. "That's the reason why I always wanted to get married and have a family."

Dolly Chahine gets hitched

Lebanese artist Dolly Chahine, who divides her time between Beirut and Cairo, recently got married to Lebanese producer and director Bakhos Alwane.

"My marriage was a surprise to everybody," Chahine said. "Bakhos and I get along in our private and professional lives; he already directed many of my music videos and he will continue to do that in the future," she added.

Chahine is set to star in an Egyptian sitcom along with artists Adel Imam, Sawsan Badr and Sherif Ramzy.

Ghada is engaged

Egyptian actress Ghada Abdul Razzak has announced her engagement to journalist Mohammad Foda, saying that it was a private ceremony. That won't be the case for the wedding, however. Abdul Razzak promised to have a grand wedding party before flying to Europe for the honeymoon.

Ghada was previously married to producer Walid Tabihi and has a daughter with him.
