Bollywood’s King Khan is putting together a new year treat for his fans. Shah Rukh’s next release My Name is Khan, directed by best bud Karan Johar, will hit the screens on February 12, 2010. KJo and SRK have churned out many blockbusters in the past, so it’s only natural that a lot is riding on this flick. We only hope they don’t disappoint!

Ranbir wants to try it all

We always thought star kids take their lineage for granted, but a young lad from the prestigious Kapoor family disproves our theory. Despite being just three films old, Ranbir Kapoor is already chalking out a major Bollywood career path. And he is apparently not satisfied with being just an actor. Like his grandfather, the legendary Raj Kapoor, he wants to try his hand at every aspect of filmmaking. “For me, it is more about the journey than the destination. I love the whole filmmaking process,” he says. We are mighty impressed with his dedication. It’s refreshing to see a lad who is not only smitten by fame, but also by film!

Soha turns to mom on-screen

Taking their real-life image to the screen for the first time, talented actress Sharmila Tagore and her daughter Soha Ali Khan will explore their real-life connection in Life Goes On.

“It’s a very special film because we play mother and daughter in it,” says Soha. However, the similarities end with the characterisation, because the storyline is not biographic in any way. In fact, debutante director Sangeeta Datta weaves a story about how Sanjay (Girish Karnad) and his wife (Tagore) tackle the consequences of their youngest daughter’s (Khan) indiscretion.

Judging by the fact that Tagore and her daughter have carved out a niche for themselves in the industry as talented actresses, we are confident that this film will be worth every penny!
