The two warring Khans of Bollywood are at it again. This time it is over Priyanka Chopra.
It all began with reports of Salman and Priyanka’s growing friendship that kept building with each day in 2012. The news of the two bonding started when they were spotted together outside Salman’s Galaxy Apartments in the wee hours one morning.
Soon things built up with Priyanka being friendly with Salman’s sister Arpita, followed by the two of them coming together for a show in Dubai – this coupled with the possibility of them working together on a film. The tide appeared to have turned as it looked like the start of a new beginning… And something Shah Rukh wouldn’t be very happy about—sharing his favourite lady, PC.
Shah Rukh apparently thought it was time to get back his beauty whom he had put aside for a while when rumours of their alleged affair broke out last year.
Salman denies link-up
But Salman clearly doesn’t want anything to do with SRK or his lady. He claims that PC is his sister Arpita’s friend. And there is nothing more to it than that.
But it seems SRK wants PC back in his life no matter what the controversies or allegations are about his relationship with her. He is very keen on starring alongside her in Farah Khan’s Happy New Year even if her dates are overbooked. To make this perfectly clear, he even went the extra bit by going down on one knee to greet Priyanka, who was seated, while at a certain function where the entire industry was present. Shah Rukh did this, even probably risking his wife Gauri’s wrath.
Surely SRK and Salman are like demi-gods in the industry, who won’t go down without a fight. That the war between them continues is a sure thing. Shah Rukh made it clear that there’s no patch-up between him and Salman after Big B tweeted that he danced with them at the Jab Tak Hai Jaan after-party. “If Amitji has tweeted it, then you all ask him when you meet him at a press conference. There is no patch-up. Even I read about it in your newspapers. Whatever is written in your newspaper please don’t believe it.”
While Salman yet maintains a discreet silence on the war front, word has it that he’s not too pleased about Katrina bonding with SRK for a forthcoming show. So instead, he’s favouring Bipasha Basu these days!
The year 2013 should indeed prove interesting, with these box-office giants continuing to find ways to thwart each other.
