Dubai: Within hours of an XPRESS report exposing the illegal sale of liquor in a Naif car park, a Dubai Police team raided the place and caught several bootleggers red handed. “We plan to eradicate these illegal operations completely,” a senior police official told XPRESS, declining to give more details.
Eyewitness Abdul Haq, 32, who runs the car park, said at least four African bootleggers were rounded by the police. “I am thankful to XPRESS for highlighting this issue and Dubai Police for taking swift action.”
Last week an XPRESS investigation blew the lid off the flourishing booze bazaar that had become a scourge for residents and motorists who used the car park.
