Dubai: A Kyrgyz man has been charged with raping a Russian woman in her home last year.

According to court documents, the man called the victim saying he needed to talk to her about his problems.

The suspect met the victim under her building, where they spoke about stress he was facing because he was unemployed.

“He told me he had nowhere to sleep, so I told him he could sleep at my home, as my roommate had left,” the victim told court.

Records show that the man then forced himself on the woman in her apartment.

The victim fled and went to the adjacent building, where her friend was staying. She then called the police.
