LLH Hospital Mussafah has introduced preventive health screening gift vouchers at discounted prices.
The wellness package is available for both men and women and covers essential or comprehensive health screening packages.
“This is a unique gifting idea for friends or family. Instead of buying them a fancy dinner or taking them out for shopping, you can gift them a health screening package,” Dr. Varun Katyal, Director of Operations at LLH Mussfah, told XPRESS.
He said most people hesitate to do screening tests as they are not covered by health insurance.
Preventive care
“Health screening tests are quite expensive and most people don’t opt for them because of the cost factor. That is why we are encouraging people to buy these heavily discounted gift vouchers for their family members or friends. The concept is introduced to reinforce the importance of preventive care among residents.”
Dr. Katyal said the health screening tests include lipid profile that tests for cholesterol levels, treadmill test, kidney profile, cervical cancer, breast ultrasound and prostate cancer to mention a few.
The comprehensive package for men older than 35 costs Dh750 and for those younger it is Dh500. For women older than 35 the cost is Dh850 for the same package, while for those younger it is Dh600.
The essential screening package for men above 35 Dh600. It is Dh400 for those under 35. The same package for women costs Dh700 and Dh500.
The gift vouchers can be purchased from LLH hospital Mussafah and are valid only in that hospital.
