Abu Dhabi One of the best ways to explore the sea is aboard a luxury catamaran. And few of them measure up to the 74-foot Belevari Marine that sets sail every weekend from the InterContinental Hotel-Abu Dhabi.

With a massive 200 square metre entertainment area, bar fitted with 500 watt sound system, the massive vessel is already a big hit with tourists.

Perfect getaway

“It’s the perfect way to escape from the noisy urban enviornment and experience the calm waters of Abu Dhabi. We have two chartered cruises – an island cruise and a sunset cruise.

The four-hour island cruise takes place every Friday and Saturday from 3 to 7pm and costs Dh450 per adult and Dh350 for a child.

It includes a two-hour stay on an island where people can relax or play beach sports,” explained the boat owner Berend Lens Van Rijin.

Two large trampolines with bean bags and four VIP shaded lounges for 24 people add to the fun and luxury quotient.

“The sunset cruise is a two-hour cruise with no stops in between. It costs Dh350 per adult and Dh250 for a child,” he added.

Recently, Berend launched six eco-friendly electric boats at the Eastern Mangroves.

Powered by an electric engine, the donut-shaped boats have fitted seating for up to six, built-in table and a central parasol for shade when needed.

These boats can be hired individually or by companies looking for a novel team building experience at Dh200 for 30 minutes, Dh300 for an hour and Dh200 for every additional hour.
