Skywheel Stunt Show, a breathtaking acrobatic entertainment, was premiered in Global Village recently. It is the first time that the show is being presented in Middle East.
By the Global Village Lake, visitors can see the towering skywheel with four rings. During the Skywheel Stunt Show, four acrobat members of the Skywheel Group - Alex Ramien, Marko Simeonow, Pavel Chaska and Ilian Simeonow - walk, jump, and leap in and out of these rings. The show lasts for 12 minutes while the wheel turns approximately every five seconds. The gravity-defying stunts take the spectators to a new dimension in entertainment.
The Skywheel Stunt Show has three acts. The first set allows them to provide the audience the chance to see them walking in and out of the rings. The second set is more dangerous as two of the acrobats go out of the rings, try to do the jumping rope, and leap. The last act is the most dangerous with one acrobat walking outside the ring on a blindfold.
The Skywheel Group has performed for 18 years in different countries including the United States, Singapore, Thailand, and most of Europe. “We have been doing this since we were young. In acrobatics, you learn by doing. Even though we have been performing for such a long time we still feel excited and a bit anxious every time. We have a good audience here in Global Village. They appreciate what we do, and we find it more inspiring every time we do the show,'' says Alex Ramien.,
Three shows are presented every night from 15 January 2009 to 21 February.
