Shopaholics can now avoid weekend traffic jams and checkout queues at malls, thanks to the Middle East's first home-shopping channel, based right in Dubai.

Though a new concept in the region, the home shopping channel has been well received by residents with annual revenues of up to $4.5 million (Dh16.52 million) and a customer base of 60,000, with 55 per cent from Saudi Arabia, 20 per cent from the UAE, and the rest from other states.

The product range includes fashion, beauty, jewellery, fitness and maternity products. "All products originate from Europe," said Nouha Mokni, business development manager. "Our products are not sold anywhere else," she said, adding they have a seven day return policy. With warehouses in Jeddah and Jebel Ali, all items are delivered within three days, claims Nicolas Bruylants, director, Citruss TV.

Citruss TV plans to expand to Libya, Jordan, Syria, Egypt, Lebanon and Tunis.
