Here’s your ultimate check-list for the three-day music event in Dubai
What is it?
A three-day music festival featuring performances by international, regional and UAE artists spread across musical genres and held at different venues in Dubai from March 27-30. There will also be workshops, dance, sports and fashion events across town featuring industry experts and even more artists.
Who are the artists?
A lot of Dubai regulars including Akon, Eve, Example, Sean Paul and Lebanese singer Ragheb Alama, but also debutante and Harlem Shaker DJ Baauer along with X Factor UK’s Cher Lloyd. Local artists include Colombian singer Fatiniza, Desert Heat’s Illmiyah, Emirati DJ Bliss, soul singer Hamdan Al Abri and Bahraini singer Tiny, who isn’t really, well, tiny.
What are the events?
There’s a lot of them. Starting tonight (Wednesday), night haunts across town will host My Music X-branded nights with partners including Armani/Prive, Mo*vida, Cirque du Soir and Cavalli Club among others. Then on Friday, the real action kicks off at Atlantis, The Palm, with performances by international artists. Over at the ‘village’ at the Dubai International Marine Club, Mina Seyahi, the same night, there will be performances by local artists Fatiniza, Desert Heat featuring Tiny, and an open mic night, songwriting and DJ-ing workshop, a B-boy championship and a skate show.
On Friday afternoon at Atlantis, The Palm, it’s time for electronic dance music fans, with a packed schedule featuring Example, Sander Kleinenberg, Marco V and Judge Jules among others. Arabic music fans can stay on later as Arab artists including Alama. Sandy and violin player Divanessa take to the stage in the evening. Otherwise, you can head to the ‘village’ for local artists, the finals of the B-boy championship, film screenings, workshops on artist management and DJ-ing, more open mic sessions, street football workshops and even more skate shows.
The whole event comes to a close with a massive party at the village on Saturday.
How to get in?
