MATRIX & FUTUREBOUND/BABY BLUE - MAGNETIC EYES
In today's issue
Soundbites: Fresh & First this week
Every week Radio 1 introduces you to four of the hottest new tracks
If you’re not already a fan of Matrix & Futurebound you will be after hearing this. I’ll be honest, Drum and Bass hasn’t always been my ‘thing’, but this is an awesome dance track. Loving the female vocals from Baby Blue, she’s one to watch.
JONN HART/FRENCH MONTANA — WHO BOOTY
The lyrics leave much to be desired. Unfortunately it’s something that will appeal to ‘teenie wanna bes’ who think liking Jonn Hart will make them appear like they have their finger on the pulse of upcoming artists.
NE-YO — FOREVER NOW
Loved Ne-yo’s last track (‘Let Me Love You’) and ‘Forever Now’ doesn’t disappoint either. From his latest album R.E.D, it’s got a great beat — fab for cranking up the volume on, one that you’ll secretly find yourself singing out loud in your car.
SWAY/MR HUDSON - CHARGE
They’re back. Can’t escape the sound of Mr Hudson it’s captivating and he teams up so well with Sway creating the perfect balance in ‘Charge’. Keep an ear out for the Crystal Waters hook from ‘Gypsy Woman’ (she’s homeless) – it’ll take you back
*Surina Kelly is one of the three presenters of The ONE Breakfast, Sunday to Thursday, 6-10am on Radio 1.
