Sonali Bendre is getting kids competitive

The actress will judge a new children’s reality show

Actress Sonali Bendre, who will judge the new children’s reality show “India’s Best Dramebaaz”, feels competition among kids is important as it helps to bring out the best in them. But she says it has to be healthy in nature.

“I feel very strongly about overt competitiveness. The word competition has a narrow frame... it has to be healthy. The line is very thin. At the same time, I feel competition is necessary because children do revel and excel in it sometimes when they are put in adverse situations. But that does not mean parents need to put pressure,” Sonali said while promoting the show.

Questions have been raised in the past over the feasibility of children-based reality shows as they are demanding, long and tiring shooting schedules, as well as sometimes, they tend to affect the psyche of children who lose the competition.

Sonali opines that “as long as the parents are not putting the pressure, and the child is not feeling the pressure and enjoying the experience, the reality shows are a platform which give confidence.”
